For those situations where it's not possible to have us physically visit you in person, Help @ Home Computers can also help you by providing "remote support" over the telephone and/or by accessing your device over the internet.

Whether you're working from home, "Self Isolating" or just catching up on e-mails and need some basic "how to" instruction, or whether you need more involved system troubleshooting or configuration, we can help.

Strictly with your permission and at an appointment that suits you, as long as you still have a working internet connection, we will attempt to remotely access your device then "drive" it while you sit back, relax and watch us demonstrate the solution live on your own screen.

We can an also offer assistance via "online chat" and even remote "face to face" video conversations via services such as Skype, WhatsApp or Zoom.

All remote sessions are secured with the TLS 1.2 protocol using industry-standard 256-bit AES encryption that ensures the highest level of privacy and security.

 Summary of Remote Support Process:

  1. You contact us to book a session.
     

  2. Be ready with your device "online" at your pre-booked session time and we will call you by phone.
     

  3. We direct you to a special website on your device, which offers you a unique secure "Session ID" number. You give us this ID over the phone.
     

  4. We use the session ID in our remote management software to initiate a secure connection to your device.
     

  5. With your permission, we complete the connection and proceed to resolve your issue by remotely operating your device.
